Only what you use
No plans, no tiers, no features held back. Every account gets everything. You pay for the storage you keep, prorated to the day, and the price per GB drops as you grow.

Each rate only applies to the GB inside its band, like tax brackets in reverse. Crossing into a new band never makes the GB below it more expensive.

The first-year promise
Pay less, or we pay the difference
Stay under 250 GB, and if your first year with Terracotta costs more than your old gallery company would have charged, we'll send you the difference. No forms to fill out mid-year. Just ask at your one-year mark and we'll do the math together.
The fine print
- Applies to your first 12 billing months, starting the day you create your account.
- Your account must stay under 250 GB of stored originals for the entire 12 months.
- We compare each month's Terracotta charges to the published price of the smallest plan that would have held your highest storage that month, at the gallery company you name when you sign up (monthly or annual billing, whichever you were using). Competitor prices are locked to the date you join.
- If your 12-month total is higher, we refund the difference to your card within 30 days of your request.
- Request within 60 days of your one-year anniversary. One claim per photographer. Taxes, print orders and add-on services aren't included.
Draft wording, to be reviewed by an attorney before launch. Competitor prices as of October 2026.

Questions
Is there a monthly minimum?+
No. Your first 3 GB are free forever. If your bill for a month is tiny, we roll it forward until it reaches $5 (or bill it quarterly) so card fees don't eat it. That's not a minimum, it's the same money, just collected less often.
What does "prorated" actually mean?+
We record every upload and deletion with a timestamp. Your bill is what each amount of storage costs, for the share of the month you kept it. Upload a wedding on the 20th and you only pay for the last 11 days of it.
If I delete a gallery, do I get money back?+
Deleting stops future charges the moment the delete is confirmed. Storage you already used earlier in the month still counts, the same way a utility bill works.
Will my bill surprise me?+
Your dashboard always shows where this month is headed. If you want a guardrail, set a budget alert or a hard limit that pauses new uploads. We never delete client galleries to stay under a limit.
What counts toward storage?+
Only your original files. The previews, thumbnails and web sizes we generate are on us.
What's the Cellar?+
Galleries that have closed can move to cold storage at a lower rate. They're off the web, but safe, and you can bring them back whenever a client asks.
